Indications for the treatment with hyaluronic acid:

loss of skin elasticity,

distorted face oval,

wrinkles, folds, furrows.

All treatments performed with the use of preparations based on hyaluronic acid are most often performed on the skin of the face, but also in other areas of the body. It is commonly used to fill imperfections like the so-called lion's wrinkles on the forehead, crow's feet near the eyes, nasolabial folds, as well as unsightly lines around the mouth and chin. More and more women decide to model their lips, which gives them volume.

Contraindications for injections with the use of hyaluronic acid:

The compound hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in human tissues. Nevertheless, there are some contraindications to the use of this substance in treatments and they are:

the period of pregnancy and breastfeeding,

systemic inflammations,

skin infections,

cancers,

epileptic seizures

immune-related diseases,

scarring of the epidermis,

immunotherapeutic treatment,

cutaneous porphyria,

albinism / psoriasis.

Before the treatment, it is not recommended to take medications with anticoagulant activity, such as, for example, aspirin.

Complications after filling wrinkles with hyaluronic acid:

Serious complications after filling with hyaluronic acid are rare. However, local reactions at the injection site may occur, including slight redness, increased tenderness, bruising, stinging and swelling. These symptoms disappear naturally after a few days and are not cause for concern.

Hyaluronic acid binds water in the epidermis, which increases its volume and the effect of filling wrinkles. The effect after injection is immediate. However, it should be remembered that the full effect is visible only after a few days, which is related to the complete absorption of the preparation. After this period, all swelling, bruises and other side effects also disappear. Interestingly, after about 18 months, water appears in the place of the preparation, which allows the skin to be moisturized and taut, making it smoother for longer.
