Preparations effective in the fight against joint pain
Preparations effective in the fight against joint pain
Joint pain may result from overload, microtrauma, injuries or age-related degeneration. Properly selected preparations can support joint function and improve comfort of movement.
When are joint preparations used?
Parts of the musculoskeletal system, such as joints, are exposed to constant strain, overload, microtrauma and contusions. With age, degeneration may progress, and factors such as excess body weight, stressful lifestyle or an unbalanced diet may additionally contribute to joint problems.
Restrictions in movement, redness, swelling or discomfort may be the basis for using intra-articular preparations, especially in seniors, athletes or people with increased joint load.
Hyaluronic acid
Sodium hyaluronate is commonly used in intra-articular preparations to support synovial fluid supplementation and joint mobility.
Collagen
Collagen-based preparations may be used to support joint structures and improve the comfort of movement.
Purpose of intra-articular preparations
Intra-articular injections usually include hyaluronic acid, also known as sodium hyaluronate, or collagen. Their purpose is to reduce the feeling of stiffness, support synovial fluid supplementation, minimize pain and improve the function of the locomotor system.
Properly selected preparations for joint pain are commonly used by specialist doctors as part of professional joint therapy.
Please remember: intra-articular injections may only be performed by a doctor. They must not be administered on your own.
