Alidya 10 ml + 340 mg – injectable cellulite therapy and gynoid lipodystrophy treatment

Injectable preparation by Marllor Biomedical (San Giovanni in Marignano, Italy) based on a polyamino acid gel, dedicated to the treatment of gynoid lipodystrophy — commonly known as cellulite. Acts through 6 proven mechanisms at microcirculation and extracellular matrix (ECM) level: normalises lymph flow, eliminates toxins, improves tissue oxygenation and rebuilds ECM structure. Not a weight-loss product — targets the pathophysiology of cellulite precisely. For professional use only.

This page covers the single ampoule 1×(10 ml + 340 mg). Also available as a clinic pack 5 ampoules of Alidya — lower unit price for practices running complete therapy cycles.

What is Alidya and how does it differ from lipolysis?

Alidya is an injectable preparation for gynoid lipodystrophy (cellulite) therapy developed by Marllor Biomedical. An important distinction: Alidya is not a lipolysis product — it does not dissolve fat cells. Its action targets the pathophysiology of cellulite, which is not merely fat accumulation but primarily:

  • microcirculation and lymph flow disturbances in subcutaneous tissue,
  • excessive accumulation of iron and toxins in the intercellular space,
  • degradation of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and loss of proteoglycans,
  • chronic tissue hypoxia and acidity in cellulite areas.

The polyamino acid gel formula with D-glucopyranose, EDTA glycoside and sodium bicarbonate buffer system targets all these mechanisms simultaneously — making Alidya the only preparation with such comprehensive anti-cellulite action.

6 mechanisms of action of Alidya

1. Metal chelation and toxin removal
The EDTA glycoside binds and neutralises iron ions accumulating in the microcirculation of cellulite tissue. Excess iron catalyses Fenton reactions generating aggressive free radicals that degrade collagen, elastin and ECM proteoglycans — its removal breaks the vicious cycle of tissue destruction.

2. Osmotic matrix drainage
D-(+)-glucopyranose and osmolarity regulators create an osmotic gradient that accelerates excess water outflow from the intercellular space — result: anti-oedema action and visible circumference reduction in cellulite areas.

3. Arterial circulation improvement
Microcirculation normalisation in subcutaneous tissue results in improved oxygenation and nutrition of skin cells — reversing hypoxia is essential for cellulite tissue regeneration.

4. Extracellular matrix alkalisation
The sodium bicarbonate buffer system raises tissue pH to physiological values — cellulite tissue is characteristically acidic, which inhibits repair enzymes and slows cell metabolism. Alkalisation reactivates correct ECM metabolism.

5. Extracellular matrix protein rebuilding
The polyamino acid gel stimulates physiological connective tissue regeneration: rebuilding proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans and collagen fibres around adipocytes — restoring correct ECM architecture smooths the visible "orange peel" appearance.

6. Antioxidant action
The active ingredient complex reduces oxidative stress processes in tissue — oxidative stress is one of the key mechanisms sustaining cellulite and accelerating connective tissue ageing.

Treatment results

  • cellulite and skin irregularity reduction — particularly in early-stage cellulite,
  • improved microcirculation and lymph flow in subcutaneous tissue,
  • improved firmness and elasticity of skin,
  • healthier and more uniform skin appearance,
  • better tissue nourishment and oxygenation,
  • oedema reduction and measurable circumference reduction.

Indications

Treatment areas and protocol

  • Areas: thighs, buttocks, abdomen, upper arms.
  • Frequency: 1 session per week.
  • Cycle: 7–12 sessions.
  • After the cycle: repeat sessions possible after 15–30 days.
  • Complement: combining with lymphatic drainage is beneficial.
  • Maintenance: annual treatment repetition recommended.
  • Pre-treatment: anthropometric measurements and photographic documentation; skin cleansing and disinfection; preparation injected with a fine needle into subcutaneous tissue by a qualified specialist.

FAQ – questions and answers

How does Alidya differ from lipolysis preparations such as Aqualyx?

Alidya and Aqualyx are two entirely different categories. Lipolysis (Aqualyx) chemically dissolves adipocyte cell membranes, reducing the number of fat cells — indicated for localised fat deposits. Alidya does not destroy adipocytes — it targets the pathophysiology of cellulite: disturbed microcirculation, ECM toxins, tissue oedema and matrix degradation. The two preparations complement each other and can be combined in a comprehensive body contouring protocol.

How many sessions does one Alidya ampoule cover?

One Alidya ampoule = 1 treatment session. At the recommended protocol of 7–12 sessions (1/week), you need 7–12 ampoules for a full cycle. The 5-ampoule clinic pack allows economical planning of the first half of the cycle at a lower unit price.

Why is iron chelation key in cellulite therapy?

Excess iron in the microcirculation of cellulite tissue catalyses Fenton reactions — producing aggressive hydroxyl radicals (OH•) that degrade collagen, elastin and ECM proteoglycans. This creates a vicious cycle: more iron → faster ECM destruction → worse toxin clearance → more iron. The EDTA glycoside in Alidya breaks this cycle by binding and neutralising iron ions — a feature unique among anti-cellulite preparations.

Does Alidya help with weight loss or fat reduction?

No — Alidya is not a slimming product and does not reduce body weight. Its result may include circumference reduction from anti-oedema action (osmotic drainage) and skin appearance improvement. Cellulite is a distinct connective tissue condition, independent of body weight — it can occur at normal weight and be absent with excess weight.

Why is lymphatic drainage recommended alongside Alidya therapy?

Alidya normalises microcirculation and triggers toxin outflow from cellulite tissue. Lymphatic drainage after treatment accelerates the removal of released metabolites and excess tissue fluid through lymphatic vessels — enhancing and speeding up Alidya's osmotic drainage effect. Combining both methods shortens the time to visible results and improves patient comfort post-treatment.
