Mechanism of action – CD-44, neocollagenesis and ECM reconstruction

AMI 100 is an advanced tissue modulator based on fragmented hyaluronic acid (20–38 monomers), acting at cellular level to programme periocular connective tissue for active reconstruction:

• Fibroblast CD-44 receptor activation — HA fragments bind CD-44 receptors, triggering a signalling cascade leading to neocollagenesis and glycosaminoglycan (GAG) synthesis,

Why does AMI 100 contain 9 amino acids while AMI BODY has only 3?

Periocular skin is exceptionally thin and delicate — it requires broader regenerative support than body skin. The extended 9-component complex in AMI 100 provides fuller substrate coverage for collagen, elastin and ECM protein synthesis, accounting for the specific connective tissue needs of the eye area (including serine and cysteine supporting structure and elasticity).

What is neocollagenesis and why does it matter?
