Karisma Rh Collagen 2 ml – biostimulator with NEOSILK recombinant human collagen
Innovative tissue biostimulator by Taumed (Italy) based on recombinant human type I collagen (Rh) produced by NEOSILK technology from silkworm threads, high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). Class III medical device for biorevitalisation, wrinkle correction, scar reduction and lip contouring. Fully biocompatible — no chemical cross-linkers, no allergic reactions.
What is Karisma Rh Collagen and how does it work?
Karisma is a Class III medical device by Italian company Taumed, designed for intradermal injection. The preparation is a precisely composed extracellular matrix — three components forming the natural environment of the dermis — acting simultaneously on several levels: stimulates neocollagenogenesis, moisturises and regenerates connective tissue, while non-cross-linked HA delivers a visible filling effect immediately after treatment.
Rh Collagen – recombinant human collagen by NEOSILK technology
Rh collagen is recombinant human type I collagen — a polypeptide α1 chain structurally identical to the collagen of the human dermis. Key distinguishing features:
- NEOSILK technology — collagen sourced from silkworm silk cultures. Not of animal origin (bovine/porcine), eliminating the risk of infectious agent transfer and practically ruling out allergic reactions.
- Full biocompatibility — structural identity with human collagen makes it immediately bioavailable and recognised by fibroblasts as a signal to produce procollagen.
- Mechanotransduction and neocollagenogenesis — presence of Rh collagen in extracellular space activates fibroblasts to synthesise type I procollagen C-peptide, facilitating the coiling of procollagen molecules into the triple helix conformation in the endoplasmic reticulum.
- No cross-linking agents — the preparation contains no chemical cross-linkers, is 100% biodegradable and does not form foreign body granulomas.
HA and CMC – completing the extracellular matrix
- High molecular weight hyaluronic acid — intense skin hydration, support of fibroblast proliferation, immediate filling and lightly volumising effect after injection.
- Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) — anti-ageing action, inhibition of free radical activity, inhibition of endogenous hyaluronidase (the enzyme that breaks down HA), prolonging treatment results and protecting the skin's natural hyaluronic acid.
Treatment results
- immediate filling effect (HA) visible after the first session,
- gradual connective tissue regeneration and stimulation of endogenous collagen synthesis,
- improved firmness and elasticity of the skin,
- reduction of fine and medium wrinkles and lines,
- improved appearance of scars (post-acne, post-surgical, stretch marks),
- lip contouring — definition and subtle volume enhancement,
- reduction of skin laxity on face, neck and décolletage,
- overall biorevitalisation — healthier, more youthful-looking skin.
Indications
- biorevitalisation and skin revitalisation (face, neck, décolletage),
- correction of fine and medium wrinkles,
- reduction of post-acne scars, post-surgical scars and stretch marks,
- lip contouring and hydration,
- improved skin tone and elasticity,
- connective tissue laxity — prevention and correction.
Treatment protocol
- Basic cycle: 2 sessions one month apart.
- Maintenance session: 4 months after completing the basic cycle.
- Technique: intradermal injections — linear, point, retrograde mesotherapy; depth and volume determined by the physician.

FAQ – questions and answers
What is Rh collagen and why is it superior to animal-derived collagen?
Rh collagen is recombinant human type I collagen produced by NEOSILK technology from silkworm cultures — not bovine or porcine in origin. Its structure is identical to collagen in the human dermis, ensuring full biocompatibility and immediate bioavailability. Fibroblasts recognise it as an endogenous signal to produce procollagen, triggering the neocollagenogenesis cascade. It causes no allergic reactions or foreign body granulomas.
How does Karisma differ from classic HA fillers?
Classic cross-linked HA fillers act primarily mechanically — they fill wrinkles but do not stimulate skin regeneration. Karisma is a biostimulator: it contains non-cross-linked HA (fast moisturising and filling effect) plus Rh collagen, which activates fibroblasts to synthesise the patient's own collagen. Results are gradual, long-lasting and natural — the skin regenerates from within rather than being merely "filled" from outside.
How many sessions are needed and how long do results last?
The basic cycle is 2 sessions one month apart. The biostimulator's effects build gradually over several weeks after each session. A maintenance session is recommended 4 months after completing the basic cycle. Duration of effect is individual and depends on age, skin condition and lifestyle.
Can Karisma be used for lip contouring?
Yes — the preparation is indicated for lip contouring and hydration. The non-cross-linked HA content enables definition of the lip border and subtle volume enhancement without the heaviness typical of dense fillers. The result is natural and harmonious.
What is the role of CMC in the formula?
Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) is one of Karisma's three key ingredients. It acts as an antioxidant (neutralising reactive oxygen species) and crucially inhibits endogenous hyaluronidase — the enzyme that breaks down HA in tissues. This protects the skin's natural hyaluronic acid and extends the duration of treatment results.
Karisma Rh Collagen is a Class III medical device intended exclusively for use by doctors and cosmetologists trained in aesthetic medicine and holding qualifications to perform intradermal injections. By purchasing this product you confirm that you hold the required professional qualifications.
