Synvisc One 1x6ml

Synvisc is an over-the-counter product in the form of a sterile, colorless, clear, viscous and flexible solution containing hylan polymers A and B produced on the basis of a highly purified extract of bird origin. Hylans are derivatives of hyaluronan (the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid) that contain the repeating disaccharide units of N-acetyl-glucosamine and sodium glucuronate.

Indications:

In the treatment of symptomatic degenerative disease located within the knee, ankle, shoulder and hip joints,

In periodic replacement and supplementation of synovial fluid, in patients at different stages of degenerative changes in the joints.

Active ingredients:

1 ml of G-F 20 hylan contains:

Hylan 8.0 mg,

Sodium chloride 8.5 mg,

Disodium hydrogen phosphate 0.16 mg,

Sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate 0.04 mg,

Water for injections q.s.

Use:

Recommended dosage:

Analgesic therapy of the knee joint: administer 3 intra-articular injections of 2 ml into the knee joint, one week apart; remove the exudate beforehand.

Ankle joint, shoulder joint, hip joint: a single injection of 2 ml, if there is no improvement, a second injection is recommended between 1 and 3 months after the first dose.

Administer the preparation only into the synovial space. Avoid periarticular injection, injection into the synovium or into the joint capsule. If necessary, perform fluoroscopy in the hip and shoulder joints. Ionic or non-ionic contrasts can be used - do not use more than 1 ml of contrast agent per 2 ml of the preparation.
