What is NITHYA Body 200 mg?
NITHYA Body Type I Collagen 200 mg is a sterile equine type I collagen powder produced by Euroresearch Srl (Milan, Italy), intended for body mesotherapy. The product contains 200 mg of highly purified type I collagen extracted from horse tendons — the highest available dose in the Nithya line, tailored to extensive body treatment areas: inner thighs, abdomen, arms, knees and décolletage. The product is classified as a CE Class III Medical Device, sterilised by gamma radiation (25 kGy), single-use.
Euroresearch is an Italian company with over 40 years of experience, recognised as a leader in the collagen market. Its proprietary production method (Signature Method) sets new standards of purity and safety in collagen preparations. NITHYA collagen has minimal immunoreactivity — meaning very low risk of allergic reactions compared to bovine or ovine preparations.
Mechanism of action – mechanotransduction in body skin
Collagen is the main constituent of the dermal extracellular matrix (ECM), accounting for approximately 75% of its dry weight and 18–30% of its volume, giving the skin strength, firmness and elasticity. With age, the activity of collagen-degrading enzymes (matrix metalloproteinases, MMP) increases and dermal thickness decreases by up to 20%. The result is skin laxity, hypotonia and hypotrophy — particularly visible in areas prone to ageing: inner thighs, abdomen, arms.
NITHYA Body acts through the mechanism of mechanotransduction: injected collagen microparticles act as a mechanical stimulus on cells — fibroblasts sense the change in environment, activate signalling pathways and intensively produce new collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). Collagen is also capable of binding very large amounts of water (up to 1,000 times its own weight), directly improving hydration and skin tone of the body.
Clinically confirmed – trial results (Scarlata, 2025)
The efficacy of Nithya Body 200 mg in treating body skin laxity was confirmed by a retrospective post-marketing analysis conducted in a specialised medical practice on a sample of 25 women (mean age 49.2 years) presenting with skin laxity, hypotrophy, hypotonia and reduced skin elasticity in the inner thigh area. The study evaluated the efficacy, safety and patient satisfaction after three treatment sessions with Nithya 200 mg, administered at approximately 3-week intervals.
Results — progressive increase in inner thigh skin elasticity:
- Baseline (before treatment): elasticity 27.0%
- After 1st session: elasticity 38.6% (+11.6 percentage points)
- After 2nd session: elasticity 49.1% (+22.1 percentage points)
- After 3rd session: elasticity 67.8% (+40.8 percentage points vs. baseline)
The progressive increase in elastomeric values suggests a marked efficacy of Nithya 200 mg in improving skin elasticity and reducing laxity, hypotrophy and hypotonia of the inner thigh. The treatment was safe and well tolerated — adverse events were mild and resolved spontaneously within 1–2 days. Both patients and healthcare professionals expressed a high level of satisfaction with the results.

FAQ – questions and answers
How does NITHYA Body 200 mg differ from NITHYA Face 70 mg?
NITHYA Body contains a higher dose (200 mg vs 70 mg) and is reconstituted in 10 ml of saline (vs 5 ml for Face). The mechanism of action — mechanotransduction — is identical, but the indications and protocol are tailored to body treatments (inner thighs, abdomen, arms).
What increase in elasticity was confirmed by the clinical study?
In the Scarlata (2025) study on 25 women with a mean age of 49.2 years, inner thigh skin elasticity increased from 27% before treatment to 67.8% after 3 sessions — an increase of over 150% of the baseline value, achieved progressively with each successive session.
How many sessions does the standard protocol include?
The standard cycle consists of 3 treatments every 21 days, followed by a booster dose after 1 month. The treatment course can be repeated 6 months after completing the previous cycle.
Is an allergy test required?
Yes — the Nithya clinical protocol requires a predictive allergy test 2 weeks before the first injection. This is standard safety procedure for collagen-based products.
Can NITHYA Body be used after liposuction or other surgical procedures?
Yes — one of the indicated uses is tissue laxity following surgical procedures, including liposuction. The timing and protocol should be determined by a specialist, taking into account the healing stage and condition of the tissues.
This product may only be used by doctors and cosmetologists trained in aesthetic medicine. By purchasing this product, you confirm that you hold the required professional qualifications in accordance with applicable regulations.
